I'll be running the 2010 and it will be my first as well. GREAT video!! This marathon looks so much more fun and entertaining than most, hopefully it will help me keep my mind off the crazy arctic blast we're having!! And the fact that I had to get up at... what, 2:45 AM??? AUGH!!

Success to you in your first marathon! It is an exciting race and the video doesn't do it full justice. I'll be running my 4th and final Goofy Challenge in 2010 and will taping all along the way - be looking for the video after the race!

Great Video!! What camera(s) did you use for the video/photos and how did you carry it while you ran?

I have used various web cams, video cams and digital cameras for races such as these. Two things you want to consider: (1) Side Pouch - Be sure to have a side pouch or fanny pack in which to store the camera while you run and (2) be sure to use a camera that you are not worried about breaking or losing - there is a lot that can happen in a race like this one. Try the Canon Powershot camera with at least a 10-megapixel resolution. Good luck!

Be sure to bring at least a small disposable camera as you will want to get a few snapshots with the Disneyworld characters on the course.
As you start heading back to EPCOT on the tail end of your half marathon, be sure to save enough energy to get up and down the three rolling hills leading into EPCOT. The final downtown hill approach into EPCOT will be epic for you... raise your arms and smile as you cross the finish line of the Happiest Race in the World.
