http://fatnews.com/ Hi, this is Larry Hobbs @ FatNews.com.

Here is a case history of a women with suicidal depression, whose depression went back to childhood, who was successfully treated with natural supplements and her depression lifted in 2 weeks.

This woman previously spent 6 months in a Florida treatment program for depression, where they had been unable to help her.

She was successfully treated by Joan Mathews Larson, PhD at her clinic, Health Recovery Center, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In this video clip, you will hear Joan Mathews Larson,
PhD describe 3 clues as to what was causing this woman's depression.

Dr. Larson has been doing this for 30 years.

Dr. Larson also notes that it is essential to do lab tests in order to figure out what is wrong, so you can correct it.

Otherwise, a person may never recover.

Psychiatry does not do this. The don't do any lab tests.

In another video clip, where Bill Moyers is interviewing Melody Petersen, author of the book "Our Daily Meds", she notes that in half of all antidepressant studies, the placebo worked as well as the prescription drug.

If you have a mental illness caused by a deficiency of a particular nutrient drugs like Prozac cannot possibly solve the problem.

If you have a psychiatric illness which is caused by a hormone deficiency drugs like Zoloft cannot possibly solve the problem.

If you have a psychiatric condition caused by a brain allergy due to something in your diet or something in your environment, drugs like Paxil cannot possibly solve the problem.

Drug companies would like us to believe that the drugs they sell are the answer, but the reason they say this is because that is all they have to sell.

It's like if you went to a Hardware store where all they sold were hammers.

Guess what their answer would be to every question?

"I think you need a hammer."

"I need to tighten a screw. What do I need to fix that?"

"I think you need a hammer."

"I need to replace the battery in my watch. What do I need to do that?"

"I think you need a hammer."

"I need to tighten a lug nut on my car. What do I need to do that?"

"I think you need a hammer."

"I'm going to paint my front door. What do I need to do that?"

"I think you need a hammer."

That will be their answer to every question because that's all they have to sell Are hammers.

It's like the drug companies, all they have to sell or their drugs, so they would like us to believe that their drugs are the answer to all of our problems.

But just like in the hardware analogy, if you have a loose screw you need a screwdriver to fix the problem, not a hammer.

If you're going to paint your front door, you need a paint brush, not a hammer.

If you need to tighten lug nut on your car, you need a lug wrench, not a hammer.

If you need to replace the battery in your watch, you need a tool to take the back of your watch off, you don't need a hammer.

This was noted by Joan Mathews Larson, PhD in a speech she gave in September 2007.

For 30 years, Joan Mathews Larson, PhD has been treating addiction, anxiety and depression with natural supplements in order to correct the underlying biochemical problems which cause these conditions.

Dr. Larson is the author of "7 Weeks to Sobriety", "Depression Free", and "7 Weeks to Emotional Healing".

  • Antidepressants are a crime against humanity! Period! I was on them for more years that I would like to admit...now off for 6 1/2 years...and have been struggling to regain my health ever since.

What people do not understand is that antidepressants deplete or interfere with nutrient absorption...the also completely disrupt the endocrine system, increase the risk of breast cancer and damage the heart. They were also only created for short term use. Not lifetime which is now promoted!

  • @2healthnuts Thanks for the additional info.

  • zivyokeAnne,

You might want to watch the videos I posted about Dr. Mark Starr's book on Type 2 Hypothyroidism.

He, and other doctors such as Broda Barnes, MD, who focused on thyroid his entire career, say that they do NOT use thyroid tests, but instead a temperature test upon awakening.

They say thyroid tests will NOT tell if a person needs thyroid.

Most doctors are NOT aware of this.

They also note that desiccated thyroid is superior to Synthroid and synthetic T3.

  • @2healthnuts This is 100% true!!! Iodine has been a lifesaver for me! It makes pain vanish and things become "brighter" (literally). When I begin taking iodine, everything around me looks sunny - that's the only way I know to describe it. Sometimes I literally feel giddy for no reason at all! And it gives my whole body (but especially my feet) sort of a tingly, very pleasant feeling. I am sure others taking iodine will know what I am talking about. Almost everyone is deficient in iodine.

  • @2healthnuts Hello, good to hear from you. I am happy to say I am light years away from just a few months ago- though not completely out of the woods. This is my problem, if I continue my recovery in a few months on I simply will not be able to understand what the problem was. I could not re create feelings like I've had if I deliberately tried!! This is why I am pretty sold on the chemical imbalance theory. How about you- how are you feeling ?

  • @scabycat Sorry for the delay in responding...been away from youtube for a while. Glad you are feeling better and sure...lets keep in touch here or by sending messages via our channel. Best wishes.

  • @scabycat I have just come through Christmas and had a very nasty bought of depression. It came back and reminded me of what a terrible TERRIBLE condition it is. The feelings of sadness and grief and bereavement were OVERWHELMING. How can it be possible to feel this way?? Thank god, as I write this, I am feeling so much better. I will continue my battle and I wish u every success with urs. Perhaps we could keep in touch through these pages?? Anyway- my very best wishes to u for the future.

  • @2healthnuts Cont... Also , m mother in law is on Prozac and swears by them. I have managed to come off mine for about 12 months now ( who wants to be on medication permanently? ) I take fish oil, multi vitimins and just started on evening primrose. But I get great comfort that I can always GO BACK ONTO medication if absolutely necessary.. I consider myself VERY LUCKY that the pills actually work for me! I will put up with the side effects. Whats the alternative - suicide??

  • @2healthnuts " It is tough to come off them and u go through hell when u do"....etc YES but isn't it the SAME HELL which caused u to have anti depressants in the first place?? I can only speak of my own experiences and of people I personally know. Thanks for ur comments and interesting to hear of ur experiences. How they have my age at 28 ? ha - I wish!! I was born in 1962 and went on prozac in 1992 (?) after experiencing a life of HELL. I still believe they were a lifesaver.cont...

  • @2healthnuts Con't Iodine (which I'm currently out of) in the form of SSKI has helped me more than just about anything. I heard one of the doctors on the Iodine project say that if people got enough Iodine there would be no need for antidepressants or pain medication and from my experience he is correct. When I take it I have NO pain, not even in my head and I have a sense of well being that I don't think I've ever had. Will it work for you. Not sure. For more info curezone & iodine4health

  • @scabycat And what about all the people they've harmed, suicides, homicides, the families of the victims. Many people kill themselves or others within days or weeks of taking them. I feel lucky about that. Very lucky. What about the droves of people who can't get off of them and are suffering. They too like you thought the drugs helped them in the beginning. And oh & the sleep...in the beginning it was the best sleep I'd ever had until I couldn't sleep for love nor money. Wishing you the best~
