@calevel Where did you buy the super angel 5500?Thank you for share.

the gs elite does a pathetic job at juicing spinach.

Here, the Angle cost $1,000USD and the GSE cost $530USD. So that cost difference is $470USD. If I made one 24oz. serving of Carrot/Spinach juice per day using the Angel, It would take exactly 1,516 days, or 4 years and 2 months to recoup the cost difference between the two machines. If one makes 48oz of this juice per day, then the time to recoup the cost difference would be 2 years and 1 Month.
For me, the Green Star Elite is a better value right now. Thanks again.

So:
One 24oz serving of carrot juice made using the Angel cost ($0.044 x 24oz.) $1.06.
One 24oz serving of carrot juice made using the GSE cost ($0.055 x 24oz.) $1.32.
One 24oz serving of spinach juice made using the Angel cost ($0.128 x 24oz.) $3.07
One 24oz serving of spinach juice made using the GSE cost ($0.143 x 24oz.) $3.43.
I mix these juices 50/50 so my cost for 24oz of carrot/spinach juice would be:
Angel: $2.07
GSE: $2.38
A $0.31 savings per 24oz serving

Here in the US 1Kg (2.2lbs) of carrots at $0.48/lb cost (2.2 x .48) = $1.06.
800g (1.76lbs) of spinach at $1.60/lb cost (1.76 x 1.60) = $2.82.
Carrot juice:
710ml = 24oz = $1.06/or $0.044/oz. for the Angel. 565ml = 19.1oz = $1.06 or $0.055/oz. for the GSE
Spinach Juice:
650ml = 21.99oz = $2.82/ or $0.128/oz for the Angel. 580ml = 19.61oz. = $2.82 = $0.143/oz.

Thanks to both of you for an informative demonstration.
I think it’s important to add a financial Return on Investment calculation based on the efficiency of the two machines. This is what I did to determine which juicer was a better overall value (for me).
I need 24oz per day of carrot and dark green juice. From your findings, the Angel juicer yield is about 25% more efficient than the Green Star Elite (GSE) for Carrots and 12% more efficient for leafy greens.
Hi thanks for all your uploads.. I used to own the greenstar then i bought the angel, i was very impressed with the difference with the taste and quality from the angel.. just wondering you opinion on the difference in juice quality between the angel and wells press or norwalk.. Is there much in it?
DANNYKESTON 3 days ago
@DANNYKESTON Hi, thank you for your comment. Juice from Norwalk/Welles press is even nicer and cleaner than from Angel. I would say that such juice is the best we have ever tasted. Angel is easier to use compared with the hydraulic which is also important when it comes to daily use.

Great job comparing the juicers guys. It's certainly convincing selling the value of the Angel juicer. Have you or can you do the same comparison of the Breville Elite vs the Angel. I just got the Breville this holiday season, but may be able to justify the cost of the Angel when using organic produce depending on the percentage yield difference. Thanks again guys,
Rob.

@triwithms Hi Rob, thank you for your comment! Breville is a good machine for having your juice fast with no need to cut the produce in small pieces - great if you do not know if you want to juice regularly. Slow juicers have an advantage against the centrifugal ones that the juice is not water based and is thicker and containes more healthy stuff in it. When you start doing more green stuff and want to get maximum juice then Angel should be considered.

You guys are really good, that was a great representation of these two twin gear juicer, I am glad I ordered the super angel 5500, after many many research i was sold on the angel for the stainless steel body and gears, the 10 years warranty, look and customer review. Now after watching you guys doing this fair test I feel really pleased with the winner.
GOOD JOB !!
