  • This wonderful behaviour has only one purpose,to attract mates. It's an obsession over whch he has no control. He is using found objects to express himself.since he is surely no deep thinker, this expression must come from what we would call "the heart" making him a true artist in every sense of the word.He clearly has a very strong attraction to certain objects, shapes and colors that lacking self awareness must be driven by pure emotion.Quite a remarkable fellow.

  • @bdmelton91 LOL!! Sounds like the birds are smarter than us humans? At least there is no faking it!

  • I'd like to contact this bird for work with my interior design company

  • it not trash to him its gucci

  • I wonder if the female likes the bling.

  • I have never seen a bowerbird use trash

  • Gee, what did these guys do before us swell humans left our crap everywhere? Build a bower without empty yogurt cups? Unthinkable! Inconceivable!

  • @bdmelton91 I don't think birds think quite that deeply.

  • Defensive actions, not decorations

  • But beauty can be seen in any light.
