Safe technique for completing phacoemulsification in posterior polar cataracts with Foldable IOL implantation through a 2.4 mm incision. Though subcapsular delamination is forbidden in such cases, it helps a great deal to separate the sub-capsular cortex from the anterior capsule without actual fluid injection. This small step makes the subsequent cortical cleanup that much simpler.
