According to a new study reported in Prevention Science, there's more than hurt feelings that can result from bullying. Research from the University of Washington sounds a new alarm when it comes to bullying. Data from a representative sample of 1,495 tenth-graders identifies links between the substance abuse in adolescent girls as a result of bullying-related depression. How can we change today's culture of cruelty? Experts say schools need to have clear consequences in place for bullying at school and online -- and parents can help by reminding their kids that bullying is not the victim's fault.
