@profdodo1 Absolutely right!. Don't know when this was recorded but I think he may have toned down his "antics" since then as I saw him a couple of years back and he was far more restrained. Dutoit is the conductor here but as much as I like him I think this particular performance is quite bad from the conducting point. Lang Lang is a genuine talent and no one can take that away from him.

Truly exceptional, to the people who say he is acting, why would he need to act his playing accounts for all the "acting". Geniuine musicians are immersed in the music they play and as for Lang Lang you can say he is enjoys what he does.

Whatever his faults Lang Lang brings VERY MANY people to love classical music, people who you'd never dream could do so. In this modern world of trash music this must be a huge plus. If any of you moaners really LOVE classical music you should just SHUT UP and let the music and musician speak for themselves.

people that are actually in the concert hall watching and listening to this guy like him. people that are sitting in front of the computer screen generally don't...does anyone find this odd?...i mean seriously, go and watch him live. you can't judge him based on a youtube video.
