@angelddaz I don't understand quite what u mean in your first sentence. But regarding your second statement, yeah that's what I meant in my comment - Mehldau obviously recognized the tune's original value AND realized in it great potential for harmonic/melodic development- that's why my " w/ all due respect' - in a way, Mehldau enhanced the tune.

@egyptianminor Almost all rock bands' musicality to Mehldau falls short. BUT he chose to cover this so obviously he found value in Radiohead.

With all due respect to Radiohead, in this version, BM was able to extrapolate/infer/discover a richness of harmonic shades/melodic invention not present at all in the original tune.

yeah, it is very epic, it uses tension and release very dramtically. the way he intergrates his intro into the song at 3:19 just kills me. Brad is just one level above anyone else, isn't he?

This is really increadibly beautifull, he does a great cover, he uses tension moments better though, 5 stars to you
