PSP Slim 3.90 M33 CFW Emulator Compatibililty

****IMPORTANT**** If you don't have custom firmware on your PSP, or don't even know what that is (which means you probably don't have it), then you can't use the emulators,homebrew games, and applications show in this video on your PSP. They WILL NOT work for you. Sorry, but that's just how things are. If you'd like to know about obtaining custom firmware, then please hit up Google and search for "custom firmware for PSP", or "downgrading PSP firmware". Other than that: This is my reference video, in case you want to know what major emulators you can run on 3.90 M33 custom firmware. ***NOTE*** You can also run every single one of these same emulator files (the exact versions) on version 3.60 M33! I know because I had all of these working on 3.60 M33. This is only for the PSP Slim though, I can't guarantee it working on the phat PSP. That comment is a bit too vague for me to address. You'll have to be more specific about what programs you're trying to get to work, and what's actually happening when you attempt to use them.

No. This does not work on the PSP 3000. Do not try to downgrade the PSP 3000. As of this posting, the PSP 3000 has not been successfully downgraded to cfw.

It's a little different between a PSP Slim and PSP Fat, but basically you just download the emulator, unzip the file with a file unzipping program, and install the file on your memory stick, in the "X":\PSP\GAME folder. (I put "X", because I don't know what your PSP's memory stick would be called on your computer). After that, just put any roms in your ROM folder, which would be in the emulator's folder. :)

you can find out if you have cfw by turning on your psp going to settings->System settings[icon is psp with spanner]then go all the way down to system information it is the 2nd last option.

once there it should display "System software= 'your firmware is here'

if your firmware is just a number then you dont have cfw but if it has letters after it eg. "m33, m33-1, m33-2 , m33-3 etc....then you certainely have custom firmware cfw !

Well, the PSP 1000's (the original black ones) are considered "Fat", and the PSP 2000's (Are the silver ones that released with the Daxter game.) are considered "Slim", along with the 3000's. ^ ^
