Nawafeth Youth Forum is a Palestinian non profit youth organization, with the mandate to support youth empowerment, addressing youth's social and cultural needs, particularly in the following fields: capacity building, training opportunities, awareness raising and advocacy.

Euro-Med Youth Exchange

Within the Euro-Med Youth III Programme of the European Union, a Euro-Med Youth Exchange promotes the mobility of young people and the understanding between peoples. It brings together groups of young people, providing them with an opportunity to discuss various themes, discover and explore similarities and differences about each other's country, culture and language. Moreover, the effect of a youth exchange on the local population can give rise to more positive awareness and have an impact not only on the young people themselves and their associations' activities, but also on the local communities

Intercultur-art: cultures on the stage

In the framework of the Euromed Youth Exchange programme, "Intercultur-art: cultures on the stage" is an international Youth Exchange for intercultural dialogue, aiming at promoting understanding among Palestinian, Spanish, Palestinians from Israel and Italian young people.
The project is promoted by Nawafeth Youth Forum, in partnership with six international non governmental organizations: Recursos d'Animació Intercultural and Imaginarius from Spain, Baladna-Association for Arab
Youth from Israel, ARCI and Italian Consortium of Solidarity from Italy.
During a six-days meeting in Ramallah, the participant youth will undertake a 40 hours laboratory on Social Theatre, a discipline which, for its special features, is particularly suitable to empower youth to work on team building, problem solving, intercultural mediation, building of confidence and developing mutual understanding.

Social Theatre

Social Theatre is a definition of the early Nineties. According to this definition, it is a specific discipline which consists of a series of practices and methodologies of social action, based on the previous practices of Community-based Theatre, Intercultural Theatre, New Theatre and Theatre Therapies.

Social Theatre is a theatre which deals with the needs of singles, of groups and of whole communities. It means to make theatre "out of theatre", that is in social context, with people who find in theatre the occasion to voice their creativity, their own history, their interests and needs.
Indeed, Social Theatre is a theatre of social action, that aims at enhancing the quality of social interactions through individual empowerment, group building and social and cultural mediation.
Social Theatre is recognized as a relevant subject in performance studies, social and psychosocial studies

team building, conflict management and in sub-cultural studies.
Social Theatre is also used in several international programs of informal education, social inclusion, psychosocial animation, trauma response and cultural mediation-integration
