Reaction from the composer: in 2001, I did actually write a second violin concerto, based on Thomas Mann's novel Doktor Faustus. A friend of mine financially enabled me to write this piece. But I didn't succeed in having it performed, so far.

I'm really very happy with the positive reactions. And I'm very happy with Emmy Verhey's wonderful playing, too. She showed a fantastic commitment during our rehearsing together.
