I used to sing in the Paisley Abbey Boys Choir in the late 1950s as did my father before the First World War. He told me that they used to release bees and wasps during the services that they had caught in the ruins of the old choir area and we did similar things but were constantly watched by the organist and Choirmaster, J.D. McRae. I wonder if the Choir Boys still are the juvenile delinquents that we were and do they still get paid for singing?

I was just going through YouTube trying to find video's for a choral carol playlist and happened upon this.
This is a beautiful clip of a beautiful carol. My grandmother died in June and her service was held in Paisley Abbey. It was one of the reasons I clicked on this.
Thank you for posting this.

I truly hope that this Christmas season everyone remembers what the season is about. Enough with the commercial side of Christmas. With all the troubles in the world today, is it not time we reflect on the TRUE meaning of Christmas? Is it not time that we teach our children that true meaning and forget about all the commercialism? Let us bring our Lord back into Christmas and celebrate his glory. If there was ever a time, it is now.
