The Application of Behavioral Ecology as Metaphor in Contemporary Painting: cuttlefish camouflage and art" is an art project by Ryuta Nakajima. In this project, 20th century paintings, photographs of 20th century events, and short videos will replace the sediment, rocks, sand, and seaweeds found in the cuttlefishs natural habitat to stimulate its camouflage behavior. Based on earlier data, it is anticipated that the cuttlefish will mimic certain visual information from each image by interpreting its attributes

  • Thanks for watching my video. Just to clarify, all of my videos do NOT use any computer composite, such as Photoshop, green screen, etc What you are looking at is a real reaction from a cuttlefish in a tank which is looking at images on a TV screen.
