I don't think you get it. The right thing is being environmentally responsible, providing safe and humane working conditions, pensions, and a liveable wage. Those are not profitable ventures, and corporations regularly make every effort they can to trim what they invest or avoid paying out.

Take away the power of the state and the corporations will just stop using the state, they won't stop attempting to exploit. It's nature of the beast.

The thing that really gets me about the recall verifying process is that there is no way to verify age, names, repeats, and addresses of all these signatures. It is quite possible that there are many invalid signatures or shall I say signatures that should be invalid. The recall process needs to be changed. I highly doubt 1 million different people signed the petition.

Some, like throwing around figures. Here are some real figures for you:

In the 2010 Gubernatorial Election, Scott Walker received 1,128,941 Votes. Walker's Opponent, Tom Barrett received 1,004,303 votes. Now, a group of people who want Scott Walker Recalled, are super happy that they were able to get 1 Million Recall Votes,,,, Ah Duhhhhhhh! What it looks like to me is, the same group of Cry Baby losers, have taken their 1 Million Loser votes and are attempting to over-turn a valid election

@Harb40 That's in absolute numbers. What matters is percentage. Wisconsin has a population of ~5.5 million. California has almost 40 million people. Comparing the two in absolute terms is like comparing the GDP of Luxembourg to the GDP of China on absolute terms, and concluding that everyone in China is rich and everyone in Luxembourg is poor.

ha ha wall street donate to all the politicians. jobs jobs jobs they'll have some twerp with a poly-sci degree atop a skyscraper deciding who is your local town council, school board member, or like Walker has done, just declare an economic disaster and send a corporation contractor to become the local town or county czar. the inventiveness of US fascism is amazing. way more gradual, imaginative, and yes sort of peaceful, so far, than Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin or Mao ever dreamed to impose..
