Great work, I'm seriously impressed. It's clear you've put allot of time and effort into this. If you get a chance check out SFML, it's a media library written for C++. It's more up to date and easier to work than SDL. Most importantly SFML has it's own namespace, so you can easily use other third party libraries without worrying about naming conflicts.
