This is going to be one of those issues where the consensus was wrong...and I don't know about any of you guys, but I LOVE IT when that happens!

He would be great in theatre, i heard the voice of hamlet in him. But he shouldn't do these performances in a debate! He just looks silly and ridiculous with his tin foil hat.

Don't mistake me, tacking pollution is a noble cause in itself and over-population is a legitimate concern. In addition, with more people occuyping the Earth, naturally this creates demand for additional resources. However, let's tackle these issues separately for what they are in reality. One does not need to invent bogus theories P.S. anthropogenic global warming, to provide themselves a convenient platform to address these issues. A lie is still a lie regardless of the face that you put on it

In response to one comment above, climate change is the norm and has always has been the norm for billions of years. You say climate change matters more today than ever, NO IT DOES NOT! Climate Change is always the norm! Yes, there are several billion people on the planet today (and may be more), but one must also remember that for 80% of geological time the planet has been warmer to much warmer than today. Therefore, current temperatures are well within NATURAL VARIABILITY. This is FACT!

@FIGHTFANNERD3 wrong about....
-
@FIGHTFANNERD3 scientists have said from the beginning that after co2 reaches a critical point, the atmosphere will begin to cool
-
alot of scientist now are saying the earth will cool down
After the pre-debate vote showed 57% to 30% of the audience against the motion that global warming was not a crisis the US audience decided 46% to 42% in favor of the motion that global warming is not a crisis at the conclusion of the debate...Interesting what happens when people are given the opportunity to hear good scientists speak about global warming rather than politicians and sensationalist journalists.

Stott is fantastic. He demonstrates common sense, wit, and knowledge. Him and Crichton have it right. Our priorities are absolutely backwards.
