  • two of the best

  • Such a lovely speech from a good man to a good man

  • Well, I think a lot of that could be considered fluff. The last biography of Cagney from about 10 years ago...told about his alienatiing behavior towards his children and how neither of his kids (adopted) spoke to him after growing up. What was often portrayed in the media and film was not necessarily the way it was...Joan Crawford, a good case in point.

  • People say from the heart all the time ... The only difference is that those without class are advertised with their own personal publicists over social media. Quit generation bashing and degregrating people with values of all generations. Reagan like men are out there. 'Duke' like men are too. Missing things only recognizes that the past isn't possible for the future and that is a wasted effort.

  • I loved James Cagney. There will never be another actor like him. He had class, and could portray a man from being a monster (white heat) to one being a real loving person. He always thrilled the screen.

Cagney is what it's all about. Yankee Doodle Dandy, no stunt jobs at all, all him doing those dance.s White Heat: Rage. One, Two Three, his comedy side. No actors today can play several different roles like he did cause they are over paid no class snobs.

  • @hiyadroogs What has been lost is a belief and faith in God.

  • Freakin Ads, who needs em? Never watch em. They will stop em.

  • @hccman2000 Sadly, people seemed to have had more class generally back then. Had the internet existed in the 30's 40's 50' & 60's, you couldn't even begin to imagine people of that era indulging in the kind of vulgar language, poor vocabulary, ignorant sentiment, & savage arguments & insults in a public domain that people do now. We have lost far more than just great actors, we have lost our humility & our sense of decency, honour, & good manners..

  • I sent a dub of this AFI Lifetime award tv tribute to Mr.Frank Gorshin..before he died..he told me that he he enjoyed watching again and he was grateful that he was finally able to get a dub of the show.

  • Wow, for those who were alive to see this was blessed. It is portrayed here that people had more class in the realm of Hollywood. These days it is a disgrace IMHO.
