Janis Ian - Falcon Ridge Folk Festival 2008

"At Seventeen" was recorded by me at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival at Dodd's Farm near Hillsdale, NY, on July 26th, 2008. Janis Ian was performing at the Workshop Stage, one of our favorite places. She was to perform the next day on the Main Stage, but the Weather Gods put an end to those plans when an epic thunderstorm closed the 20th Aniversay of the FRFF six hours early... more on that in a later vid.

I will never understand how during the final seconds of the song the woman in front of me decided to pick up her chair and move a foot to her left in front of my camera. She was moving a foot away from her husband, so maybe they were having an argument? ;-) Anyway, I also appologize for the pixilation during several spots. That's the way it recorded off the camera. It was awfully hot, perhaps that caused it?

Thanks for posting this! Saw her in Boston at a Folk Festival at UMass Boston

and her concert was just enthralling!! Had

the very great privilege to meet her and get

her autgraph after the show too! The lady is a CLASS ACT!!! Just love Janis ian, and I always will... a hero to us all!

A Googled it, she was born on April 7, 1951, so she's 57 ;-) So she's only 5 years older than me! I remember when I first heard her sing back in the day. I thought she was so much older than me... LOL
