Socialism doesn't work, It either turns into Communism or fails. We are a capitalist country. Why do you think we're the #1 country in the world. Besides, everything government touches is droven into the ground

Someone here told me to check my math.

Entire defense budget, including both wars and all bases: 572 billion

Entire state department budget, including international programs: 50.6 billion

Earmarks: 25 billion

That still leaves a little over 300 billion short of 1 trill. He will have to end Social Security or Medicare to come up with that number.

Revolution my ass.

they are leaving out "Non-Security Discretionary Spending"; a new category that was added around 04 to seperate 9/11 related expenses from normal defense operations.

Security Funding 549.6
Non-Security Funding 391.7
Total, Discretionary 941.4

If you add in the "Emergency Supplemental" it is another 104 million with an additional 108 proposed.

i was wrong, your math is ok, you should just check your sources.
