Teens can have heart disease too. Lake Forest High School held an electrocardiogram screening for students on Wednesday, where students could be tested for several heart diseases, many of which cause sudden cardiac death. Dr. Joseph Marek of west suburban Midwest Heart Specialists is partnering with area foundations to bring cost-effective screenings run by parent volunteers to high schools in Lake and DuPage counties.

This video also focuses on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
