Here's me starting to make a lumber mill from scratch. I know this kind of thing would have been really useful when I was building my first one. :-)

  • You don't get much sleep do you ,vary entertaining. PS what kind of plants do you eat or smoke. I have to get some

  • @Iliketoweldandbraze You kidding? I do so much in the day that by the time it gets dark, I'm passing out on the floor. :-P

...and plants? I highly recommend broccoli. :-) I wouldn't smoke it, though.

  • @JMEMantzel I would think you say up at night, thinking of stuff to do in the day time lol.

  • @Iliketoweldandbraze Heh heh. Naw, I dream all night thinking of things to do in the day time. :-)

  • Are you totally against CAD programs? You have a magnificent engineering mind, and a good 3-d feature based solid modeling program could be a priceless tool for your inventoriusness-us. ( I just made that word up )! PS: Mini Lathe? Yes, NO?

  • @bdrman2004 No, I'm not against CAD design at all. Who gave you that rediculous idea?

Its a bit pointless for me at the moment because none of my tools are very precise, but if I get my hands on some CNC machines.... mmmmmm....

  • @giedriusonline Well.... I stopped reading your comment at "You won't be able to...."

I hear so many people telling me I can't do things.... I disregard it. Thanks, though.

  • haha Homemade death machine!!

    : )

  • @PaulOtt You're right, I'll always place more on the efforts of individuals to share out of kindness than on the arrogance of another to disregard those efforts without so much as the effort to read two sentences of text. Genius is no excuse for blatant rudeness...

  • @touchnova You place too much emphasis on the sharing of ideas and not enough on positivity. Everyone has their own ideas and many are too willing to share even when not asked. JME has shown he has no shortage of brilliant ideas that work. He's doing much more than engineering. He's PURSUING HIS DREAMS, and it requires more than ideas and imagination. It takes motivation, drive, and discipline, all of which can be dampened through negativity. Want to help? Encourage his dreams (within reason.)

  • One time I made an amazingly strong drive belt out of string and duct tape for a cement mixer. It ran for 2 full hours. If for some reason you couldn't get a belt (or got sick of waiting for one to be available) you can make your own in like 30 mintiues, for almost nothing.

  • @tgogo72 Dude, if you don't like it, don't watch it. Nobody owes anything to anyone on youtube,If you feel you've been dissed then just stop watching.
