This short documentary features the CAP project of UNDP in Afghanistan. The project uses two key capacity development tools of coaching and advising for capacity development of Afghan civil servants. The documentary captures South-South cooperation as an incubator for innovative development partnerships and for sharing effective responses to the common challenges of globalization. With the help of UNDP, Indian civil servants have been assigned to groups of their counterparts in Afghan government ministries and institutions at central levels to develop capacity within financial, human resources, procurement management, policy and strategy development and basic management and administrative services. The peer-to-peer dynamic allowed for a candid exchange of ideas and information that proved enriching for trainers and trainees alike.

  • @hussainjan1 You can find the final evaluation report on the CAP project at the Evaluation Resource Center from UNDP. This evaluation is qualitative, there is no mention of baseline measures on any indicators. Still, there is some good information regarding implementation. The report says that coaches didn't perform line functions nor did they engage in capacity replacement, that is definitely a good thing from my perspective.

  • I have just seen video on Afghan sustainable capacity building which was presented very successfully in video but there was no data shown what was privious prosision of Afghanistan and now what is it on? there was not found any andicators, to assest its developments hights or improvment. At the beging of lunching program where they were stand and where they are now and when will be the target achived.
