This song was one of the most popular in 1955. This is my favorite version of the beautiful song. "He" was the song that the Lennon Sisters sang on the Lawrence Welk show on their first appearance in 1955. It was a #4 hit for Al Hibbler in October 1955 (#13 R&B) and #10 for the McGuire Sisters. In 1966, the Righteous Brothers charted at #18 with their version. Written by Jack Richards and Richard Mullan.

  • So peaceful and angelic !

Makes you hope that when we cross to the other side these are the sounds the angels make.

  • what a class act. these girls were so lucky to join up with such a group of professionals that taught them how to be real troopers. what a great organization. regards, larrylindbloom

  • Sung so beautifully, always sends shivers up my spine. I could listen to the Lennon Sisters sing for an eternity. A real pleasure to listen to and great to look at, always had a bit of a crush on Peggy.

  • That was so beautiful I love hearing them sing.

  • Delicate. Remember those paper or nylon slips? They swished well in the dance.

  • Lovely harmony...
