In 1977, this song became Ronnie Milsap's ninth #1 song on the charts.

Ronnie Milsap's "It Was Almost Like A Song" was the first secular song I played on the piano, and played by ear. "The Rose" by Bette Midler followed. I also have a clip of "It Was Almost Like A Song" on YouTube.

I made the shirt myself, from $3 worth of material from WalMart, $2 for buttons - and 50 cents worth of antique satin for the collar, from an estate sale. The trim around the collar and sleeves is double-faced black satin florists ribbon. Total cost for the shirt: $5.50 ! (I can't say the same for the Hammond A-100, and Leslie 122 that I am playing!)
