Governments version of the Lokpal Bill being burnt at Juhu Beach etc..

The Governments version of the Lokpal Bill was burnt at Juhu Beach, Mumbai on 17 August 2011.
The Lokpal Bill is aimed at assisting the common man in fighting corruption.
The Government refuses to accept the civil society's version of the Lokpal Bill which is more stringent when compared to the governments version of the Lokpal Bill.
Mr.Anna Hazare leading this movement against corruption was arrested violating his fundamental right to expression.
Politicians are allowed to call for Bandhs (General strike) damaging public as well as private property and disrupting normal life along the way but when a common man holds a Peaceful Non-Violent agitation, the government considers it a criminal offence.

On August 16 2011, Hazare was arrested four hours before the planned indefinite hunger strike.

'The issue today is about an unelected person who is demanding outside Parliament that if there would be any law (against corruption) then it would be mine or else I will go on fast. This is not the way of making a law.'-- Kapil Sibal

Firstly isn't the government behaving like a bully by passing its own version of the bill and then making such ridiculous statements.

The governments version of the Lokpal bill states: Punishment for corruption will be a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of up to 7 years.
Whereas for dubious complaints filed against corrupt government officers and politicians with the Lokpal there will be a minimum punishment of 2 years.
This clearly shows the apathy of the government.
