#16: Cleric Sisters Revisited
We last saw the Cleric Sisters in battle #5. If you thought that battle was tough, pack your bags because this one is a real killer. This is the last battle on the second floor, sort of a boss battle in a game of boss battles. The trick, as before, is that you need to finish the battle without leaving one Sister by herself or else she'll revive the other two. The catch this time is that magic is much less effective. This in addition to higher stats makes this one of the toughest battles in the game.
Wizard and Witch are both incredibly useful here, although most magic is completely ineffectual. Death is as good as ever and I completely recommend it. Stun and Rasp, which were really useful in the first Cleric Sisters fight, will hardly do anything here.
Assuming you've got a Wizard, start by casting Death on one of the Sisters. This will make the incoming damage manageable. Paladins should cast Shell2, since Holy is the only threat in this battle.
Slowing the last Sister you plan on killing is a really good idea. It'll make timing the final kill much easier. You can see I almost botched it here.
As I mentioned, this is one of the hardest battles in the game. Don't be afraid to use the items you've stocked up. In the absence of both Witch and Wizard (what were you thinking?), your task is to whittle down the Sisters so that they all die at the same time. Since they're busy healing each other, that's very difficult. You'll almost HAVE to wait for their MP to run out before engaging them. Paladin makes that a lot easier.
Remember, if you have a Wizard but no Priest, use a Life potion to get in that second Death.
