Snake eats a live rat

Corn Snakes, native to the southeast US, usually reach a length of 4-6 feet. In the wild they feed on small vertebrates like lizards, rodents, and other snakes. Corn Snakes are related to King Snakes, Rat Snakes, and Milk Snakes, and can sometimes even crossbreed with these other species in a controlled environment. Generally docile and easy to care for, Corn Snakes make excellent pets for people who have never owned a snake before. They will maintain this docile nature through good feeding and care, like Ayami here. Corn Snakes thrive in temps between 80'-90'F, and will remain comfortable in a 20gallon enclosure for their entire 20-25 year life. It is advised to feed them previously frozen mice and rats in captivity, although I used a live one for cinematic value. Keep only 1 snake per enclosure to prevent unwanted breeding or cannibalism.

Corn snakes usually won;t constrict on dead, only live but it is bad to feed your corn live because theres a chance fro your snake to get bitten or they might get use to the live and won;t feed on forzen or dead ones afterwards.
