quick clip of Shane Lynch (driver for Japspeed) testing out the S15 at JDM allstars Sunday 18th April 2010.
It has recently had a Q45 V8 engine from some american Nissan vehicle I think but topped off with twin turbos for extra amusement value. The audio on this clip doesn't do it justice - it literally stole the show.

  • Im thinking from a UK perspective... Cos the car never sold in the UK.. It was a big v8 Nissan barge built for US ppls but yes your right its still technically a jap motor lol :) either way sounds immense under there!

  • In other videos of this car, it looks like a VH45 from the earlier Q45s. @kohy1990, it revs to almost 7000rpm in stock form and this motor is probably very modified considering it is twin turboed

  • @boatdude12 yep they're using the VH45 with two turbo's on it - its utterly insane and such a meaty roar to the engine with tons of torque!

  • how can u say its a american motor lol the car came from japan n the motor was built there lol

  • Breaking traction doesn't seem very difficult in this.

  • @robbedoes1985 God damn! Are all V8's difficult to install into a tuner? I thought as much, that's why I was considering the Nissan V8. I though it would be easier for these mechanics around here to install than a Chevy or Dodge V8 in my new Silvia S15. I really want a V8 because I'm vain and need a car that's nicer, faster and more aggressive sounding (especially the sound) than my associates. But if it's too much trouble I may just have to settle for a highly modded RB25/26/30.

  • @xcalic3600 you sure, VH45's are on the internet ebay maybe? you won't find one on the junkyard, the engines are pretty wanted, they aren't cheap, if you can't find one you could always get a frontend shipped from japan.and it will be a hell of a job fitting it in your car

  • @robbedoes1985 Can you buy one of these engines without buying an Infiniti to swap? I mean, can you get a "retail" VH45 engine from an auto-shop or where ever you buy cool shit for your car?

  • Q45 is the american car model where the engine comes from, the engine is probably a VK45 block.damn nice sounds

  • V8 in a japanese car... OMG.. Sounds like shit... Damn..
