What happens when you give three Bike staff three Yamaha Diversions 600s, a miniscule budget and tell them to go as fast as possible? Apparently you get one tuned engine, one bolt-on nitrous kit and one ludicrous shrink-wrapped streamliner. But which is most effective? There's only one way to find out...

  • My XJ 600 Diversion (from 1993) runs 118mph (around 190 km/h) without any modifications at all. Was all this work really worth it (besides the fun factor, hehe)? ;)

  • Me and some mates do challenges like this, last one was get a 500cc commuter for less than £500 and without spending more than £100 get it to do a lands end to john o groats and back again run. Will we see more challenges like this in future mags lads as ive just subscribed to another year and the divvies were one of the highlights!

  • Mike was 115mph and Simon 118mph.

  • what were Mike and Simon's top speeds?
