On Saturday evening, 27th of February, the successful pilot gala show for a German version of the well-known "telethon" took place in German television (SWR, MDR/ARD). The telethon was invented by Jerry Lewis and then has been successfully adopted by the AFM in France www.telethon.fr
The German charity Mosaico medico under its president Dr. Christoph Weber licenced the show format in1998 and invited stars like Alain Delon, Al Jarreau, NEK, Gianna Nannini, BAP and many others to kick off the telethon in Germany.
