UN Foundation and Kris Allen in Haiti

American Idol's Kris Allen traveled to Haiti with the UN Foundation to raise further awareness of the country's continuing needs after last month's earthquake.

Since the Earthquake, the UN has been working hand-in-hand with Haitians to help them recover. In the months ahead, the UN's life-saving work will continue, including delivering food and water to millions of Haitians, providing opportunities for employment to more than 200,000 people and ensuring women and children are safe from mitigating diseases such as measles and malaria.

Before becoming an Idol, Kris really does travel to help poor countries out. So, it's no surprise he's used to do these stuff. Even without a camera on him, we can be assured that this ain't just any reel thing done to make Idol more popular - or make him look 'good'. KRIS IS AN ANGEL!

@nelms55 Believe me, Kris has done this many times before the cameras were on him. Now he uses his celebrity to raise awareness in helping others. At least he ls not like these singers and celebrities that do this for their own benefit.

Kris used to be a music director for his church and a missionary. And this was before American Idol. He is definitely an angel in disguise.

the cameras are there so that people can see what he's doing and be inspired to help out themselves. it's not for his own ego boost. he's still an amazing person doing good things for the less fortunate simply because that's what he wants to do.
