Boris Avrukh is one of the best active chess grandmasters in Israel, boasting an impressive FIDE rating of 2625. While Avrukh is a native of Kazakhstan, he immigrated at a young age to Israel to find stronger chess opposition. Avrukh began training with renown chess grandmaster Alex Huzman, and the rest is history. Avrukh's rapid ascent towards the Grandmaster title included winning the Worlder Under-12 Chess Championship in 1990. Boris Avrukh has played for Israel 6 times at the Chess Olympiad, and has also won the Israeli Chess Championship in 2000 and 2008. The most recent major tournament victory for Avrukh came in 2009 at the Zurich Jubilee Open, where he tied for first with Alexander Areshchenko. We would like to thank GM Boris Avrukh for taking the time to participate in our How to be a Grandmaster series.

  • @|||shokoboy||| Guess you make a living out of reading youtube comments, trying to reply something smart. Don't judge my IQ sitting in front of a screen, showing online bravado. I'm grateful for uploader's videos that doesn't mean I can't criticize them. Keep your 'Take it, it's free' attitude to yourself. Uploader is taking the criticism sportingly, It's time you show your maturity, If there is any. And yeah, don't send anything to my inbox, I've no time for losers.

  • Awesome game and great analysis! - Love the killer moves :D

  • @08Mryuvraj are you dumb? hes doing it for free, you should be thankful.. you cant criticize someone unless youre paying him

  • you've to keep repeating 'I don't know' every 5 minutes ? It's a big irony . You're analysing a game and you dont know whats going on. Funny

  • who knows, who knows, who knows ? dude , are you analysing a game or making petty jokes ? If you dont know 'who knows the analysis' . Just show us the game as it was played and leave the analysis part up to us.

  • Thanks .

  • Awesome video. What a nice game!

  • Sweet game! love your commentary!

  • strange game (to my sight)

good interview, really enjoy them, wonder what % of viewers check them out, they're well worth it .. third tier players don't get the plaudits as most focus, understandably, is on the top 10

(by 'third tier' > 2600 but < 2700 - just my informal model)

  • What software do you use to make these videos? (The board and arrows in particular)
