Cookie is going to get stacks of runs in the years to come. Vice captain and future cappo. It will be good experience for him, and the right tour to get it and test the water by dipping his toes. Strauss explained it well.Clever thinking by the ECB and the England management. You always need one eye on the future, without getting to far ahead.Good move, Cook will be a quality OBT for years to come. Who needs the Aussie situation in 2006,four or five top players calling it a day at the same time?
