This is a timelapse of the Station Fire burning near the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. At the time of this timelapse, the fire was completely out of control. This was taken from the Devil's Gate Dam in La Cañada Flintridge, CA at approximately midnight. Each frame is a six second exposure. The timelapse covers approximately 11 minutes. The timelapse is looped 3 times since it is so short.

  • Awesome shot but why is it repeated 3 times?

  • Because it's so short. Youtube will sometimes clip the end of the video. This way at least you can see it. It's only 4 seconds long.
