Archbishop goes to Supreme Court

Hindu leader Swami Laxmananand Saraswati and four of his followers were shot dead at his Jalspeta ashram following a suspected Naxal attack. However, the Hindu groups blamed the Christian community and began a widespread campaign of eradication of Christian followers in the region.

Countless Christian churches, orphanages, colleges, schools, nuneries and other christian facilities have been destroyed. The State government has done nothing to prevent the attacks and the help came a little too late.

Nuns are raped, clergy forced to hide, entire Christian villages burned to the ground. The same violence also took place from December 25th of 2007 until February of 2008 but most of the violence went unreported by Media due to state censorship.

The state government is trying to protray the event as a isolated case but far from it, it is a state-wide pogrom designed to eliminate the Christian population. The BJP and other Radical groups do not want to see the untouchables and poor Hindus leave Hinduism and join Christianity. So they are attacking the Christian community.

The Archbishop is now going to Court to start a proper investigation of this massacre and to demand justice.

I agree some of what ApFaqTech is saying.

Maoists killed the Hindu leader purposely to agitate a region that is extremely prone of religious violence so that they can get the poor Christian communities to side with the Maoists and thus giving them a stronger foothold in India.

All i know is that unless the government and people fix these problems, its going to get out of hand real fast and India will experience a bloodshed like never before...

Pretty much, the ancient tradition of India is completely misunderstood by westerners. Hinduism is so intertwined within the very people of India, it is a shame that people are rejecting such a unique and magnificent culture which is the oldest in the world. However I disapprove of any violence to maintain whatever culture we have left though.
