  • Here we go again, gramaphoneshane is trying to sell this pile of firewood with his buddy Steve for $10,000 Australian dollars. Check the history, he's always tying to price this up. This will be deleted by shane, wimpy little twit.

  • @TheWhodatman Are you on crack or just retarded? Oh wait...I'm talking to a MOCAPS thief (probably BillF/maroongem with another fake account). Upset you cant steal a valuable machine are you? And if check the history, these machines were selling for £12,000-15,000 in the 1990s & set to reach those prices again. Not that it matters because this machine has NEVER been for sale & never will be, because it's been left to my local museum in my will. Pathetic MOCAPS THIEVES.

And why would I delete your comment? I want everyone to see how pathetic you MOCAPS crooks are & low you'll sink. Check out maroongem & phonojack everyone. These guys are SAD criminals.

  • Such a beautiful song.. what kind of a player is this? We have one in the attic that you have to crank up? Is that how this one works?

  • It's an HMV 202 re-entrant, made in England between 1927 & about 1931. This one has a spring motor, but an electric motor was also available at additional cost. The oak 202 & mahogany 203 both had the largest folded internal horn ever sold to the public, being nearly 2' longer than the largest horn Victor produced.

You should rescue yours from the attic & enjoy using it. Parts are readily available, and so are records which can mostly be bought for $1. It's an enjoyable & rewarding hobby

  • Did this Lady ever make a bad record?

If she did ,I never heard it.

  • Yeah---I am 25 and I cannot believe I never heard this woman's name among the cannon of her contemporaries---YouTube is the first place I have heard her---and it was an accidental stumble---a very fortunate staumble---her voice is beautiful

It always bring backs memories and tears to me. Thanks for posting

  • On a scale of one to ten I run out of digits. This voice...I am so jealous that Paul got to hear these tones coming off the pillow in the middle of so many dark nights...how does one man get to be that lucky? So eloquent and it is wonderfully disarming. Haunting and intimate. Thank You Jo..We miss you

  • Resist the Illuminati's Borg agenda, grow a herb/veg garden!

  • I love this song.

  • I've been singing this all weekend, so wish me (a "youngster") luck with that :)

(In the mood or no, it's a great song...)

  • I sang this at work once and this girl started laughing hard. She said " Are you Alfalfa ?" ( referring to the "Little Rascals") I said no just singing Darla Hoods favorite song !
