Thetis Island is one of the Southern Gulf islands of British Columbia on the West Coast of Canada, between Vancouver Island and the British Columbia mainland. It is a small community of about 350 full-time residents, which expands to between 1000 and 2000 during the fine weather seasons. The BC Gulf Islands are a vast timeless water world of pristine natural beauty and serenity dotted with numerous captivating islands in various sizes and shapes, enchanting cliff sceneries, a rich habitat of biodiversity in fauna and flora and a great meditterenean climate.
Each of the Gulf Islands seems to be a world unto itself. Each has its own history, culture and colourful characters, talented artisans & artists. It's breath-taking scenic views, great outdoor recreation, high quality of living and mild climate, among many other assets, make the Gulf Islands not only a highly coveted place to live but also a relishing travel destination.

  • just as i remember. my favorite spot on thetis when i lived there was going to this outdoor pool and having a hot shower in the summer night then riding my dirtbike back to the dock or maybe go to pilkey point to clear my thoughts. i love thetis and i miss it , it changed who i am today.

  • Very beautiful, indeed. Even though I'm a native Southern Californian, we visited my grandparents, The Hawleys, a number of times in the 60s & 70s. I believe they lived on the northern part of the island near a place called Pioneer Camp. This island will always hold a special place with me as well. Thanks for posting this video.

  • Beautiful!

    Thanks for sharing!
