The Oversight Committee holds a hearing on Blackwater. The hearing examines the mission and performance of private military contractor Blackwater USA in Iraq and Afghanistan. Erik Prince, the owner of Blackwater, will testify as well as three State Department officials. The hearing specifically addresses three key questions: (1) Is Blackwater's presence advancing or undermining U.S. efforts? (2) Has State Department responded appropriately to the shooting incidents involving Blackwater forces? (3) What are the costs to U.S. taxpayers for the reliance on Blackwater and other private military contractors? Chairman Henry Waxman gives opening remarks.

  • I did my research, and still, I think anyone associate with Blackwater should go to hell, fuck you. sucks for those contractors, shouldn't have been there :P

  • Blackwater = SS.

We are already too far down the road to fight back...without bloodshed.

They will continue to get away with murder.

  • I'll resurrect this since I just checked my account. @smujismuj: I dunno what you read in my reply that made you respond that way. All I'm saying is you have to have a certain level of actual training to get a position...you aren't some kind out of high school. @xxsaferdxx: I think you misread what I was saying..I was saying that THESE GUYS probably would have done the same thing if they were in the military (cuz they're nuts)...and punished accordingly..there are bad apples everywhere.

  • funny, love your guote

  • Fuckin' balls. Thought it was a rat speaking at first! Then I saw the glasses.

  • This, in my opinion was just retaliation against the alledged crimes that blackwater has committed, which, like Waxman said, isn't helping the U.S. efforts in Iraq. Kick blackwater out now. Make them accountable.

  • Done the same? The military has to answer to court marshall, blackwater answers to no one, but I'm sure they'll answer to God when the time comes. I don't think the military would've done the same.

  • Some that have committed alledge crimes deserve nothing more than jail.

  • Look at the smirk on prince's face. Blackwater should go away, we don't need them. What blackwater and state department have done regarding the alledged crimes, like the New Year's Eve murder, is incomprehensible. Why would they fly the contractor out of the country so quickly. There needs to be accountability.

  • Blackwater contractors get what they deserve...a high salary.

  • "we are trying to do , for the national security apparatus, what FedEx did for the postal service"

i dont think i need to point out the big difference between war and postal delivery. also, i dont agree with the war. so why the fuck would i paying for someone to fight in Iroq, when im paying the us military to begin with. secondly i pay fed ex to ship my item to me Quicker. so what!? am i paying Blackwater to kill Iraqi insurgents quicker? that's the our military's job you ass hole!

  • You just keep believing whatever they tell you.
