This is part 54 of my series on John's home demos. To understand the abbreviations I use in the description, please refer to the original video in the series. The next few videos will all be from John's trip to Bermuda where he claims he wrote Double Fantasy in three weeks. But it is apparent that most of the songs were finished before Double Fantasy and that he merely refined them to the songs we know and love today in Bermuda. These were all recorded at Villa Undercliffe which is located just outside of Bermuda's capital, Hamilton. John chose Villa Undercliffe because it had a piano and it was secluded. The last thing he wanted was for people to know he was on the small island of Bermuda. He recorded most of these demos late at night and early in the morning before the sun came up:

Woman, take 7 (July 1980, Villa Undercliffe, Bermuda)

Woman, take 8 (July 1980, Villa Undercliffe, Bermuda) -- John recorded nine takes of Woman in Bermuda, but although he says "take one of the new one" and "positively the take, take 9" these are actually takes 4 and 7 respectively. These takes are the basis for the double tracked versions of Woman which will be in subsequent videos.

  • John was worth a total of 150 million USD at the time of his murder in 1980. As of 2010, Yoko's approximate net worth is between 500 and 600 million dollars. I don't want that to be interpreted as , "oh look at what a cash cow she is", but one 1980 dollar is equal to (very) approximately two and a half 2010 dollars. Between 1975 and 1980 alone, she tripled his net worth.

John spent money, but mostly on material goods like clothes and artwork. Most of it was in storage and never used.

  • @waldenhouse Lennon also had loads and loads of money that he never spent right????
