Chairman of the Detroit Charter Revision Commission, Freman Hendrix, explains/defends his unilateral decision to contract Audio/Video services... for an undiscussed/undisclosed fee. By unilateral I mean WITHOUT the approval of a majority of the Commissioners. In a previous meeting, Chairman Freman Hendrix stated that Audio/Video services were being provided by the City of Detroit's Water and Sewerage Department at no cost until the Commission got on it's feet and could hire/find suitable Audio/Video services. Other issues were discussed including approval of a lease for office space... though the keys had already been given to the Executive Director of the Commission and he was already using the address on his paperwork... without majority vote of the Commission. The Commission also voted on whether to approve salaries in excess of $131,000 for the new Executive Director Gregory Hicks and General Counsel Lamont Satchel.
I'm surprised at the charter commission.

We need to be conscious of who we elect into office. Commissioner Robinson is the best because she does not back down WHAT SO EVER!. She is the strongest female politician in Detroit. She needs to be nominated for an award.
My question is this, he allowed himself to finish his points and demanded no interruptions, but when he passed the mic over to Commissioner Robinson, he still had more to say and then had the nerves to be sarcastic.
WAKE UP DETROIT!
