Ok, looking at the begining of this video, where the tech-guys are running the wires, I see but one wheel. I would say that I'll agree Tomlinson did the long shots, but if, as Mann was sitting in the back seat filming the close shots of both men, the the narration of the featurette, either Mann lied about filming the inside camera shots or they installed a second wheel after they ran the wires. I'll also grant you there's a big difference between running a pleasure craft and a Donzi. Cried? Nah.
Colinchick69...LOL they were not even driving. Johnny Tomlinson was in the back seat driving. If memory serves me right from when I was on the movie set, he was crying like a little girl about getting him off that boat during rough seas! I am still VERY up set that theycut this breath-taking opening from the movie. I was there for 7 days on set and only about 45 seconds made it on to the DVD. Being a "sailer" and going 100 mph in 5 to 7 foot waves is a hole different ball game.
Mann wanted to open the movie with this breath-taking vista on the water. The studio in it's wisdom [?] cut this from the theatrical release. And yes, Farrell and Fox actually were in the Mojo duing the racing. Colin Farrell is an experiaced sailer since the age of 20 [in Dublin] when he lived on a boat while filming "Ballykissangel"
