this was taken at the grand opening of the 5th avenue apple store in new york city. a man in a wheelchair came up to steve jobs and asked for his autograph. jobs proceeded to tell him "no. sign it yourself" in an arrogant way. then when the man asked again jobs says "o, now lay on the guilt. start crying". finally the man told him that he had spent 25 hours on an airplane to get there and jobs caved. after signing he told the man to "go see the rest of the store". what the man had jobs sign was an original copy of a macworld issue with steve jobs on the cover debuting the original macintosh.

  • Now that he's dead, can I please get Flash on my IPAD?

  • @mummified2 I've been reading so many comments by these Apple fans, and I just can't explain how pathetic they are. Such weak people, like really immature. One of the most popular comments is that non Mac users are jealous because they are poor. Or comparing expensive cars to non expensive cars. I can't explain it, just really superficial people who value things for the wrong reasons. I sold my MacBook, and got a Vaio (and I don't like Sony) for over $1,000 less than a weaker MacBook Pro.

  • It's funny how he dies an everyone starts idolizing him.

I mean, he already had his iSheep before, but now it's freaking out of control.

I wonder if this will happen when bill gates dies?

  • @happyhibou LOL!

  • That was not cool at all !!

  • I'm really glad he's dead.

  • @tech2rescue no

  • Haha, I was there and kinda watched this happen from afar. There was a bit of banter before this and the guy in the wheelchair was pushing his luck with a few other people from Apple too. I got to speak to Steve and he seemed an alright guy. Certainly not 'evil' as some of you have called him. Just a man doing his job.

  • @happyhibou i personally think revering an evil man is unethical and a step in the wrong direction... and as for the better hardware you have no clue. macs use the exact same hardware, they just dont utilize their full potential so they take longer to die. lol.... better hardware...

  • @mykebulvai Who the fuck says shit like this? "I'm really glad he's dead."

  • @TheDrachenFlammen Being an asshole got him where he is. Also, it isn't about that specs of a computer's hardware. It's about the quality of the hardware within.

I've had PCs for a good majority of my life as well as Macs. Macs have always outlived my PCs.

  • Honestly, autographing something materialistic is frivolous in the mind if a personality type like Steve Jobs.

In Steve's mind that guy had as much cause to autograph the magazine as he did.

I also didn't think he said it in an arrogant way. He was smiling as he said it. If it had been arrogant he would have walked away or completely dismissed the guy.

People idolize someone who never wanted to be idolized. He just wanted to change the world.
