  • I made about 2 liter still out of some acid-proof steel and I made some "sugar wine"and distiled it, I got about 0,3 litres of high proof "moonshine" that I couldn`t drink because it was too strong....

  • What were the ingredients for the sugar wine? I might make that.

  • The people in the background were discussing what to write for our report... and I just happened to answer her question with "It's my baby" lmao.

Ethanol boils at a lower temperature, so when the water condenses, the the ethanol is still a vapor.

The stuff in the column is packing material. It increases the surface area that the vapor is exposed to, helping with the distillation process.

  • Ruined by the loudmouthed ignoramus in the background.

  • Sweat Baby, All it needs is Tits.

  • -"Fractional industrial distillation IS"?

  • @Phacias It is a total reflux distillation. Obviously this won't give you a distillate but it's fun! =)

An alternative would be be to collect some of the distillate while sending a portion back as reflux, allowing a higher purity yield

  • I don't understand something... This perystaltic pump is there for... what? It sends your distilat back to the distillation veseel. I don't see any logic it this ;/

  • Just some 1 liter of water, regular sugar 2 dl, about 1 dl of malt, and the yeast.

-Heat about 2 dl of water to boiling, add the sugar and malt in it and mix. Then pour it to the excess water and wait until all swirling stops. Check the temperature of approx. 25 celcius and then pour the yeast on it. Then wait some 5-7 days and it should be ready for distillation. If it has very sour and lean taste it`s spoiled. I used a watercooling for the still that I made.

  • what was that white stuff in the vertical column coming up of the top of the boiling flask? biomass?
