Paul Simon - Still Crazy After All These Years

Lyrics:

I met my old lover
On the street last night
She seemed so glad to see me
I just smiled
And we talked about some old times
And we drank ourselves some beers
Still crazy after all these years
Oh, still crazy after all these years

I'm not the kind of man
Who tends to socialize
I seem to lean on
Old familiar ways
And I aint no fool for love songs
That whisper in my ears
Still crazy afler all these years
Oh, still crazy after all these years

Four in the morning
Trapped out, yawning
Longing my life a--way
I'll never worry
Why should I?
I know it's all gonna fade

Now I sit by my window
And I watch the cars go by
I fear I'll do some damage
One fine day
But I would not be convicted
By a jury of my peers
Still crazy after all these years
Oh, still crazy
Still crazy
Still crazy after all these years

  • Larry David brought me here!

  • My parents gave me a Paul Simon CD when i was 8. Until I turned 11, that was the only thing i played, and I played the hell out of this song in particular. Now I'm 19, and I still love coming back to this song and reminding myself that as much as I grow and change, I'm still just as much that little kid. Such an intense bittersweet feeling.

  • @s145611 Great comment! Try to preserve the child in you: it's the most precious thing we have! With my kindest regards, Vince

  • The break from 1:49-2:37 with the imitation and the great sax solo is beauitful.

  • larry david sings it better

  • beautiful song, can't believe this song only stalled at #40 on the Billboard Top 100, it should have been a Top 10 hit IMO

  • @WhateveR0786 anyone else see him in a chicken costume??????????.lol

  • MUSIC brought me here!

  • Interesting, his motivation for staying alive in this dog eat dog world,is his tough N.Y. state of mind, not letting his contemporaries know he is gave in, to depression.
