About this video:
Originally this video was live feedback for rear screen projection behind Terence McKenna in the Seattle nightclub where McKenna gave this, his final talk. At the time no one knew that McKenna was soon to become seriously ill, and that this would be his last public appearence. He passed away a year later on April 3, 2000, at the age of 53, with his loved ones at his bedside.

There was no intention at the time to make this recording available to the public. This edit is made from several cameras and the live video mixing board for the rear screen. This is a new, cleaned-up copy that is clear video footage of Terence McKenna without the additional computer graphics from the 1999 DVD, Psychedelics in the Age of Intelligent Machines. This is availabe on DVD by contacting Dr. Jon via HPX.net.

Date: Recorded Live in Seattle, April 22nd 1999
Produced by: HPX Media, 2004
Cameras: Jason Dix, Rod Hatfield
Digital Salvage: Kurt Elzner
Starring: Terence McKenna

  • smartest man to ever wear a snuggie.

  • @wearestarstuffsagan everything we eat affects our genetics, actually. So his theory is quite plausible. Whoever told you that it was impossible is sadly mistaken.

  • @1thruZ So taking an interesting perspective on life that may be different from yours is what makes deems people crazy? You should try and educate yourself on these things as opposed to just living in fear from what you don't understand. Should never simply write something off just because you don't comprehend it...

  • The psilocybin mushroom was the forbidden fruit that man ate manifesting illusion of separation and knowledge of good and bad. The reality we experience was manifested by these substances that our ancestors ate giving them temporary survival advantages yet the trade off was away from true nature and the result of fear of death and dying.

  • @wearestarstuffsagan You weren't paying attention.

  • the thing is, eating shrooms doesnt effect genetics so his theory is completely impossible

  • @JS1989RENEWED I ALWAYS think about this..i always wondered the same. There was a rumor floating around that there is now proof DMT increases serotonin receptors or tryptamine receptors, i forget which i think its serotonin.

  • @1thruZ That would leave an awful odor. You sure that's a good idea?

  • @1thruZ try being open minded... u prolly believe we were created in 7 days by a man in the sky.. so who really needs to be in a hospital?

  • this guy needs to be admitted to a mental hospital
