What the fuck is this shit? People are so lazy that cant do pullups and pushups anymore??

This looks like an efficient way to get many people in a space without the need for an experienced trainer. Having said that, I have heard it is fun but am not sure it is in the realm of serious training.

TRX is amazing!! I've lost 16 pounds from doing this just twice a week. Amazingly efficient as your body is literally the machine. It elongates the muscles while strengthening, less injury risk then cumbersome and bulky weights.

I've used this at a physical therapist for some time and I must say that the TRX is Incredible! Before I did weight training but with this I've felt muscles I never felt before and it's also great for getting more control over your movements and balance

I'll stick to my barbell and olympic plates, thank you

@averagetoelite I wouldn't say the people in this video are a "complete train wreck". I think you place your standards to high. I guess that someone really fit like Usain Bolt would consider anyone substandard that couldn't run 100 metres in under 10 seconds. It is all comparitive. I agree that TRX is a great system.

Great TRX group vibe!
It is true that bodyweight exercises can be more productive than 'modern' weight training due to the fact that 90% of the people in the average commercial gym are a complete train wreck. Our conception of what weight training consists of is so out of whack it's laughable. The TRX is a good system though, I use it myself in addition to weights and kettlebells.

It's about progression: The trainee who never adds weight to the bar will never increase the difficulty on bodyweight movements, either. If one isn't interested in gaining a lot of muscular mass, exercise choice becomes a matter of personal preference. However, if contractile-muscular weight gain, (& the strength that comes with it), is a goal, one must lift heavy on the 'big' lifts, especially the barbell squat.
