Thinking about going to the fish auction in Ginza, Tokyo?
We got up at 4:00 am to get there by 5:00 and be part of the first group of 60 people. We barely made that and were numbers 58 and 59. It was fun but if you just want to sleep in or you can't make it to Tokyo anytime soon, this video just about sums it up :)
The auction is only open to the first 120 visitors per day. 5:00 am and 5:25 am are your two choices to begin the tour. Expect long lines if you don't get there early and the chance that you won't see it. CLOSED on Sundays, holidays and every other Wednesday. No flash photography allowed.
The main market opens at 9:00 am but we didn't stay for that.
For your information, the fish are white because of frost.
