When Dave's version of "the stumble" came out it was a slap in the face equivalent to that taken by millions of kids (including me) when Eddie Van Halen came out a dozen years later....
Playing like this and with this sound in 68 was huge.

goddamn! I haven't heard this since about 1970, and it still sounds great. I didn't think it could ever live up to my memory of it, but hey, it's Dave Edmunds! He really was (and is) that good.

All of the versions you mentioned are equal beatiful.Freddy King was a great
instrumentalist.
He passed away back in 1977.
Rest in peace Freddy.
