@Hereticbooks Really, because some religion, especially old testament christianity, used religion to excuse rape, plunder, and murder. People still do that today, religion doesn't stop anyone, they stop themselves, or don't. I don't have any reason to thank religion.

Objectively purpose is subjective purpose (as meridianfrost said in different words), and in understanding this we can begin to understand objective morality. We may never be able to do the one best thing in any situation, because we will lack all the information needed to make that correct decision, but that one best thing still exists.
