A great Hollies classic performed by Terry Sylvester with a little help from James Griffin and John Ford Coley.

Recorded in Canada during the first night of their three-night tour as Soft Rock Cafe.

  • great one Terry - you are the man. Congrats on Rock n Roll hall of fame!

  • He's a very charming man. Great performance Terry.

  • What a great song! It always takes me right back to 1974 and all of the good times of that era. Thankyou Terry and of course "The Hollies". Your version is excellent.

  • absolutely fantastic---i know this song so well and have seen every tube on it --as it is my fav--and i have been playing over 50 yrs now--its one of the best covers i have seen on this wonderful song---great work

  • very nice song...a completely beautiful classic... i remenber listen once to an unplugged version of this song, but i cannot find it, ... not sure if it was performed by terry sylvester, Pearl jam, or Neil young, but it was just perfect... well, i hope anyone of you can know some info about it and let me know... Thanks for sharing this amazing song...

  • Yeah Terry you did it ... you are an awsome singer and a wonderful man keep up the good work!

  • Not a hardcore Hollies fan but having trawled through a few versions of this magnificent song, this is my favourite. I know Allan's voice was so piercingly distinctive but in every other version I've heard after their original the harmonies never quite regained the punch of the record...so you have to adapt to what you can do on stage with fewer musicians and no overdubs! That's why I think this a very well judged rendition by Terry. I really like the electric guitarist's parts in this too. A+!

  • Muchas memorias de mi juventud!

Thanks so much for posting this version of this great song.

  • A good cover of this song!

  • this was one of the best songs Albert Hammond ever wrote.
